Can’t blame DEI for this!

When two planes collided in Washington DC just days after Trump’s inauguration, killing everyone on board, the new president immediately blamed DEI hiring in the aviation industry for the mishap. Since then, black decorated generals have been sacked from military leadership on the grounds that they might only have been promoted to the rank because of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion programs in the military. Black and female heads of agencies and the judiciary have been removed on similar grounds. Administrators in the Trump government have openly stated they would not trust a black person in an important role because they might only be there because of DEI initiatives rather than because they were qualified (which also indicates complete ignorance about the purpose of DEI initiatives in the first place). While many Americans have been horrified by the open racism exhibited by the Trump government, there are other hard-core Republicans and Maga adherents who have welcomed a ‘white males only need apply’ reset back to the pre-1960’s  racial elevation of the truly ‘superior’ race, northern European heritage, and the ‘obviously’ superior gender, men. Meanwhile, while the Aviation authorities purge the profession of high ranking ‘undesirables’, planes have been falling out of the sky with alarming rapidity. But let us not confuse ourselves, or anyone else, with these inconvenient facts!

Now the Trump administration is facing a failure of mammoth proportions: the inclusion of a liberal journalist in a chat on a commercial site by top ranking US officials planning a military strike. While National Security Adviser, Mike Walz, has ‘taken full responsibility’, he has not offered to step down or resign on the spot, as he should have if he did, indeed, take responsibility for a gaffe that put US military personnel in harm’s way and the entire mission in jeopardy. Worse yet, both the CIA Director, John Radcliffe, Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, and Secretary of Defense, Pete Hesgeth, lied about the importance of the mission and the nature of their discussion about it until the journalist Jeffrey Goldberg, Editor-in-Chief of the Atlantic, who had been inadvertently included in the chat, started to publish details of the chat (which endangered no one except the buffoons responsible for the gaffe since the mission was already completed). In fact he, ‘bottom-scum of journalists’ as Walz so diplomatically phrased it, is the only one who has shown an ounce of integrity by keeping the details quiet until AFTER the mission was completed so that, indeed, American military personnel and their mission were not compromised.

This story is well-known now all over the world. But what is not being discussed is the racial backgrounds of the constituents of this inexcusable security leak. Other than Gabbard, who is both a woman and not ‘white’, the rest of the group are all ‘superior’ white males. These superior beings, with no taint of DEI and therefore clearly the most competent to hold their roles according to the new credential system now operating in the US by Trump’s decree, have committed an act of supreme stupidity by holding a strategic battle ‘chat’ on a commercial site that any enemy could easily hack, then added a person with no security clearance whatsoever, a journalist ‘scum’, no less, who had every means at his disposal to publicly broadcast these plans had he been actual ‘scum’. Or he could have sold that information to one of America’s enemies for a tidy sum.

This complete travesty of national security committed by a bunch of grown men, and one woman, playing war games on their tablets with their friends like a group of teenagers, exposes two things: first, that Trump’s choices of men, and one woman, to fill the country’s most important positions and lead the country’s most important roles are complete incompetents, which has always been well-known but, secondly, that there is absolutely nothing inherently ‘superior’ about white males. No one with any sense, or even any historical memory going back so little as a decade, can imagine a competent, black General making such a rookie, and extremely dangerous, mistake. Those who are committed racists will not, of course, be persuaded by this egregious proof of the nonsense of racial superiority. But hopefully people who might have wondered if DEI was, in fact, important will see the danger of leaving a country’s defences to a group of incompetent white males.
